Easter 2012

You are never too old to color Easter Eggs are you?  I certainly don't think so.  This year (thanks to Pinterest), we tried something new.  We colored our eggs with kool-aid powder dissolved in water.  I thought they had a pretty color to them.  I can say that it definitely smelled better than the vinegar! :)

Jacob is our sentimental child.  When he heard that Brian's parents might not be able to make it for Easter this year, he immediately said, "How will we color Easter Eggs.  To him, we always do it together and it was hard for him to imagine doing it without them.  Fortunately, they were able to visit and Jacob was smiling big while dying his eggs!

Lizzie concentrated hard on making sure that egg was secure in the "dipper"

Don't let the grumpy look fool you.  He had fun.  Somehow he turned it into a competition - who could have the darkest red egg.  With the little competition, he was really into it!

After hunting eggs and checking out baskets on Easter morning, I shared my "knowledge" of Peeps with the kids.  They thought it was pretty cool to see the Peeps expand.  We even took some time to bet on how long they would have to go before they exploded.  Calmer heads (Brian) prevailed and we never did let them get to the exploding point.

Pull That Tooth Already!!

One of Lizzie's front teeth was just barely hanging in.  I tried to pull it.  She didn't like that idea.  We ate apples.  She ate them on the side of her mouth.  She twisted and twisted that tooth.  Then, one day she twisted it and it got stuck!  She had no choice, she had to pull it and she ended up with this sweet smile!

Spring Break

Over our Spring Break, we went to Southern Indiana.  We had a good time visiting family, celebrating Zach's birthday and a trip to the Louisville Zoo.

My dad and the kids after a mean game of frisbee.

Celebrating Zach's birthday and hoping for an IU victory over Kentucky.

All the cousins from age 14 - 20 weeks until birth!

Hanging out on Mamaw and Papaw Wellman's porch

Some basketball cake with his new IU warm-ups

Ready to roll at the Louisville Zoo.

Zach was tired of me posing them all the time!  :)

My favorite animal at the zoo!

Great trip aside from one thing - IU lost the ballgame!
